The options are as described in the 4.3BSD Line Printer Spooler Manual. However, the -w option (controlled by the pw printcap capability if using djf as an output filter, or by lpr's -w option if used as an input filter) also adjusts the horizontal pitch to fit the 8 inch line length. The -l option adjust vertical pitch and typeface point size. The DeskJet(tm) text scale mode is used; 66 lines of 12-point type will fit on a page.
The -f, and -p, options are NeXT extensions; djf ignores them.
Djf supports the NeXT extension -R (resolution) option.

PostScript printing may require a user be logged in on the console.
The -x and -y options aren't practical.
Fails to write accounting record if killed (as by lprm).
Should vary the top margin between PostScript (at the cut) and text (somewhat lower).
